Bio: Born in Munich, Sybille Jobin first came to the United States as a teenager. After completing her education in France and Germany, Sybille Jobin moved back to the United States, where she worked as a lexicographer, writer, and translator. Before coming to Stuart Hall she taught for 16 years at the college level. She taught Freshman Composition at James Madison University and was Assistant Professor of English at Mary Baldwin College. Dr. Jobin is married and has a son, Alex, who graduated from Stuart Hall in 2004 and is currently studying at Virginia Tech. She also has two cats, Sweeper and Mint.
