Financial Aid

Stuart Hall awards more than $500,000 in financial aid to families annually.  The School offers financial assistance based upon expressed need from families who apply through the School and Student Service by completing the Parents Financial Statement (PFS) , and forwarding the PFS and a copy of their most recent IRS Federal tax return (form 1040) directly to the School.

Applying for Aid

We ask that all families interested in learning about their qualification for financial aid complete an application through the School and Student Service (SSS) in order to determine eligibility. SSS stands for School and Student Service for Financial Aid. It is a service owned by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and used by over 2,300 K-12 schools and other organizations to help determine a family's ability to pay school costs. The service and process helps ensure that all schools use the same methods and objective procedures in evaluating your financial aid application. Stuart Hall School is a member of NAIS.

Here is a suggested timeline detailing the steps in the aid process at Stuart Hall:

January 25    PFS completed and submitted to the SSS (Stuart Hall School Code #7540)

February 15  Photocopies of IRS Federal Tax Form 1040 and schedules mailed to Stuart Hall in order to be eligible for aid consideration.

March 1        First-round allocations made to families with expressed need.

After March 1, the remaining aid is allocated as available to qualifying families.

While the dates listed above are not "concrete deadlines," financial resources will be distributed to qualifying families on a first-come, first-served basis, so following these guidelines is recommended.  It is necessary to apply through SSS each year in order to qualify for financial aid awards. If you have questions or need more information, contact the Admissions office at 888-306-8926.

In cases where the parents are separated or divorced, the custodial parent should file the PFS and the non-custodial parent should file the Financial Statement for Parents Who Are Separated or Divorced. Stuart Hall will consider the assets of both parents before making an award. All financial information is confidential and reviewed only by those on the Financial Aid Committee.
