At Stuart Hall, students are challenged, stimulated, inspired, supported, encouraged, and applauded for hard work and commitment to academic excellence.

The expectations are big, the classes small. From the fifth grade on, Stuart Hall places great emphasis on fundamental skills as well as developing critical thinking. This means students learn to write and punctuate correctly. They interpret information, and not simply memorize it. In math as well as the sciences, students understand the concepts behind the problems. These basic skills serve as the framework for success in the middle school, high school, and in college.

Our teachers care about our students and are willing to help make success a reality. Call them nurturing. Call them dedicated. The point is, our teachers can be called on for help. Before classes in the mornings, at lunchtime, after school, even at home, our teachers are always available to give the time needed to answer each question. One-on-one individual attention - it is nothing out of the ordinary at Stuart Hall. It's the way students learn.

The Dean's Council meets twice monthly to discuss academic issues, advise the academic dean, and make appropriate decisions about policies and procedures to assure the effectiveness of teaching and learning and to strengthen the curriculum.
