Stuart Hall School provides students many opportunities for leadership and fun. Through a variety of clubs and activities, students can participate in ways that strengthen the spirit of the school.
Meetings are scheduled for these groups on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. On this campus of “doers,” you’ll enjoy getting involved with other students. Whether you’re planting trees for the Ecology Club or writing for the literary magazine, you’ll find your special place at Stuart Hall.International Club: The international club is open to all students interested in expanding their world view by learning about other cultures. The Club plans special activities throughout the year for the Student body. Media Club: Learning to "read more than words" and "see more than pictures" Students will be viewing and reviewing all types of media and discovering the behind the scenes of television production as they become independent thinkers and information literate.
Outreach Committee: The Outreach Committee works with the School and the surrounding community by raising awareness to volunteer efforts. Examples of their work include an annual blood drive for the American Red Cross and a food drive for the area Food Bank. Social Committee: The Social Committee coordinates social activities at Stuart Hall and promotes activities with neighboring independent schools. The primary event of the year is the annual Spring Ball. Student Government Association: (Upper School SGA meets between lunch and chapel on Tuesdays) Serves as a vehicle for students to exercise effective leadership, address concerns, sponsor School activities and service projects, and accomplish tasks efficiently. The student body through the SGA makes proposals for change in the School by majority vote. Once each semester, the SGA President presents the student body’s proposals to the Head of School and the Dean of Students. After review, proposals are discussed with the faculty. Changes will be implemented when possible and/or feasible. Traditions Committee: Members of the Traditions Committee study the history and traditions of the School and maintain a scrapbook of the school year.
