College Counseling Learning Resource Center The Learning Center is open to students during the school day and in the afternoon. Staffed by Learning Specialist, Carol Stanley, the Center offers assistance with study skills, writing, and support for students for whom English is a second language.
Study Halls
Afternoon Supervised Study Hall In response to parent requests, we have developed a new model providing students with assistance and oversight. Two faculty members will be in place to address core areas of instruction: Math, Science, History, and English so that help with homework is readily available. On Wednesdays, there will be assistance with foreign language. All students will be in the library where they will sign in and sign out, so that attendance is monitored. Students will have a break as we know that after a full day of school, two hours of study is a lot to ask. The format of study hall is: 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.: Study/homework with faculty assistance 4:30 - 5:00: Break: games available, arcade available for relaxation 5:00 - 5:45: Study hall resumes until students depart for the day Parents may opt for per season fees. However, prorating of fees is an option for a student participating in an activity that does not span an entire season. |
