The Hunt Course is Virginia’s oldest preparation program for the SAT and PSAT. They are now in the process of scheduling courses for the spring, summer and fall. The course is held on site at Stuart Hall School and we must have a minimum of 15 students sign up to offer the course. So far I have had 10 families express interest. We just need a few more to get this course started. It is looking like Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoons will fit most students’ schedules. Once we meet our target number, we can offer the course this Spring!

The fifteen-hour SAT Review Course is administered in five three-hour class sessions. All students receive diagnostic testing to determine areas of strength and weakness. An equal amount of instructional time is focused on the Reading, Writing and Math sections of the SAT. Ample time is provided for the review of content material, test-taking strategies, anti-stress techniques and timed practice drill. All students receive a suggested home study/review plan at the conclusion of the course. Emphasis throughout the course is on how to take the SAT or PSAT successfully.
Tuition (including text and hand out materials): $495
If more than 20 students sign up, the tuition is $450
The staff is made up of experienced and certified Virginia teachers.
The dates and times of on campus classes are determined by the host school. The classes were held on Sunday evenings from 6:00-9:00 at St. Margaret’s. We may choose an appropriate time that works for our Stuart Hall students and families depending on the amount of interest.
